If you thought the shrinking sedan market would mean fewer fun options, well Hyundai would like a word with you. Building on its growing N Brand and adding some spice to the Sonata, the powers that be at Hyundai are preparing a Hyundai Sonata N Line for 2021. Taking inspiration from the potent Hyundai Veloster N, the Sonata N Line gives a sportier look to its popular sedan.
What comes with the N Line badges? Well, you get a different front fascia sporting a new grille and air intakes. Of course, there’s no shortage of N Line badges to let everyone else know you made a good decision. The Sonata N Line also comes with 19-inch alloy wheels and side skirts to further the sportier look. At the Sonata’s rear, you’ll find dual exhaust and and a black lower bumper. There’s also a different rear diffuser on the N Line badged Sonatas than their more pedestrian counterparts.
As with most performance-appearance packages, the Hyundai Sonata N Line also receives a host of interior alterations. Inside the cabin, you’ll see dark chrome trim accents, red stitching on the steering wheel and on the N Badged performance seats.
It’s confidence inspiring to see Hyundai add an appearance package to the 2021 Sonata. We hope that this might be a sign that Hyundai will throw a full-on N variant to the Sonata line up, but we’re not too mad about checking out the appearance package. As for price, we expect this package to set you back about $3,000 on top of the Sonata, if the Elantra GT’s price difference is any metric.
