That's one way to help your G-Wagen stand out

The more you look at it, the better it gets?

As far as Frankenstein modifications go, one could do a lot worse than this W463-generation Mercedes G-Class with a 600 front end that was posted by Reddit user I_Am_Vladimir_Putin (funnily enough, it looks like something Putin would drive).

The front end looks to be from the W100 generation (1963-1981) and the sheetmetal graft is damn near perfect. We do see V8 on the fender, but this definitely looks like a European version of the G-Class wearing a Swiss-size front license plate and ML-Class wheels. The car behind it is a W168-generation Mercedes A-Class hatchback. We first saw photos of this … restomod making the rounds back in 2004, so it has been around for a while.

The comments include more likes than dislikes ranging from “seriously well done” to “I’d rock the (crap) out of this” to “awesome.” Some commenters just like the craftsmanship and others are wondering if a real, minty S600 was chopped to bring us this past/present hybrid.

The bumpers look particularly well-integrated.

So, what about you? “Looks boss” or “get lost!”

This… restomod was first spotted in Europe over a decade ago, but not in Russia.
