For decades, the Bondurant School of High Performance Driving has been the mecca for car enthusiasts to learn world class driving skills behind the wheel of over 100 fully prepared vehicles from cars, SUVs and open wheel racecars. Recently, the Bondurant School announced that they’ve added drag racig classes to their curriculum, using the Challenger SRT Demon, Hellcat, Hellcat Widebody, and 392 as their learning tools.
“We’re thrilled to offer this new drag racing program with our partners at Dodge//SRT,” said Bruce Belser, CEO of Bondurant School of High Performance Driving. “Drag racing is an adrenaline-filled motorsport that requires a certain set of skills. Our new course will help drivers of every skill level improve their technique and drop their 1/8- mile time behind the wheel of powerful Dodge//SRT vehicles.”
The full-day class includes two hours of classroom instruction focused on educating students on every element of drag racing: staging, launching, reaction time, signals, and pre- and post-run safety checks. The day is rounded out with on-track instruction with a Bondurant teacher. After that, students can hone their skills with eight full runs on the 1/8-mile of Wild Horse Pass Motorsports Park in Chandler, Arizona.
The course is limited to 16 students and runs $1,999 per driver. This is a prime opportunity to learn drag racing right the first time and you’ll leave the school with the confidence to make a pass at any strip. Beyond that, you’ll get to drive an 840 hp Demon flat out, which isn’t a bad way to spend the day. To register for classes head to https://bondurant.com/.
