The 2019 Street Rodder Top 100 presented by Painless Performance once again made a summer stop at Beech Bend Raceway August 9-10 for the Danchuk Tri-Five Nationals, where 10 of the top 1955-57 Chevys are selected accordingly. Unlike your traditional Pro’s Pick or the like, where only top-tier show-quality vehicles are chosen, SR’s Top 100 often tends to be more grassroots oriented selection wise—at least when editors such myself are responsible for the picks! That said, you’ll notice a wide variety of not only build styles, but build qualities as well—and there’s always at least one in the bunch that I’d have no qualms jumping in and driving home…regardless if it’s a fresh barn find relic or a high-dollar Ridler winner!
For this year’s Tri-Five Nats Top 100, which is actually 10 as mentioned, we’re breaking it up into two equal installments—so here’s the top 5 of from the overall 10! Check back tomorrow for the remaining 5 from this weekend’s Top 100…if any of that makes any sense?!
