2019 BMW X7: Recall Alert

Vehicles Affected: Approximately 1,800 model-year 2019 BMW X7 SUVs

The Problem: The driver and passenger head airbags may not have been properly aligned with the trim during installation, which could impair them during deployment, increasing the risk of injury.

The Fix: Dealers will inspect and reinstall the head airbags, as necessary, for free.

What Owners Should Do: BMW will begin notifying owners July 15. Owners can call the automaker at 800-525-7417, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s vehicle-safety hotline at 888-327-4236 or visit its website to check their vehicle identification number and learn more.
